Weston Locher, a writer from Winter Park, Florida, was named a Semi-Finalist in the most recent “America’s Funniest Humor!” Writing Contest held by HumorPress.com.

For his accomplishment, Locher has earned publication in HumorPress.com’s online humor showcase. His entry, “101 Ways to Hurt Yourself: A Children’s Guide to Recess” is about the author’s visit to his childhood elementary school and the overwhelming changes that he witnesses upon arrival.

“101 Ways to Hurt Yourself: A Children’s Guide to Recess” will be featured in the current showcase through mid-February, after which new results from the bi-monthly contest will be posted.

Other writing awards and recognitions earned by Locher include an honorable mention for his column “Spray Bottles: Punishing Cats Since 1947″ in the August/September 2009 “America’s Funniest Humor!” writing contest.
